Who are they?

Les Moontunes is an Acadian heavy-soul ensemble that has established itself as one of Eastern Canada's must-see bands, continually reaching out to other galaxies with its celestial soundscapes. Fans of soul, jazz, and rock will be captivated by this group that blends catchy grooves with interstellar rock jams.

Winners of the 2024 Music NB Innovator of the Year award as well as the 2021 Music NB Awards for both Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Video of the Year for their single “Paper Boat”, the group has distinguished itself as a unique act that pushes boundaries and maintains a strong artistic cohesion throughout its projects.

The group’s most recent album “Elephant Wizard”, released in January 2024, displays an expanded sonic palette and new levels of originality and maturity in their music. This evolution, guided by producer Mike Trask and encapsulated by recording engineer Thomas Stajcer, emphasizes the heavier aspect of their signature heavy soul sound. Their many influences are tossed in a progressive melting pot, resulting in a unique sonic identity.
